Fan balancing – Mission accomplished!

Once again on site for a critical balancing service following an urgent request on a UK paper production facility. Our technicians intervened quickly to analyze the problem and carry out the balancing of the fan impeller.

The vibration measurements detected on the main air recirculation fan indicated a vibration of 30 mm / s @ 1X which was transmitted to the fan structure and to the other adjacent rotating machines.

Following the inspection of the fan impeller, a balancing procedure was carried out which allowed the rotating machine to be restarted with vibrations below the alarm thresholds: 1.4 mm / s @ 1X.
