“20MW Ward Leonard Machinery Vibration and IN-SITU Balancing”

The steel industry is an energy-demanding sector and Ward-Leonard Systems are often considered high critical rotating machinery for ensure plant reliability, avoiding lack of production due to machinery shut down, that can reach tens of thousands of euros per hour.

The case study describes a vibration analysis on Ward-Leonard multiple rotating machinery in order to investigate high vibrations issues and subsequent in-situ balancing activities to reduce absolute and relative vibrations levels.
