On June 6 in Genoa, at the Old Port, Group IB and AIMAN presented the seminar "Condition Based Maintenance in the ship industry," addressed to all shipping operators. A useful opportunity to learn about benefits, potential and applications of CBM in the field. Especially heard, in this context, the regulatory aspect with regard to security. ISE, among the companies sponsoring the event, in the afternoon presented the monitoring systems of DLI, which is distributor for Italy, applied to patterns (for the analysis of vibration on pumps, alternators, electric motors, turbines, etc.).

Last June 11 ISE has participated in Cremona, at Palazzo Cattaneo, at "Maintenance Stories", a special event dedicated to Managers of Industrial Maintenance, organized by Festo Consulting and Training and Thomas lndustrial Media, with the sponsorship of AIMan . The event, now a classic for operators in the sector, this year has channelled cases submitted by managers of the most dynamic italian industries, in which they were absolute protagonist the "maintenance facts". In its table shop, ISE has presented the most advanced equipment and technologies available today, which is distributor for Italy. |

One of the cement industry leader in Italy, Colacem, choosed to use the Real Time Balancing in own Gubbio (PG) plant. This fans balancing system is produced by the American Lord and distributed in Italy by ISE. Composed by a sensor, a regulator and a balancing calibrator, it allows to reduce the anomalous vibrations of a fan while it is in operation. With the adoption of this system, the Colacem plant points to avoid plant shutdown, performing the balancing correction automatically and shortly.

The remote monitoring of three complete turbines, in one of the biggest thermal power station in Europe, is committed to ISE. For the vibration and process measures processing ISE uses Sprite™, the innovative system by DLI Engineering, of which ISE is distributor for Italy. Employed in any type of environment, this monitoring system allows to carry out diagnosis in real time and permits the remote monitoring. This is indicated for hardly accessible plants, as pumping systems, power stations and wind farms.

At the ATA Executive Hotel in Milan, October 12 last year, the President and the Secretary of CICPND - Italian Certification Centre of not Distructive Tests - gave Liv. 3 Certificates Maintenance to Sandro Berchiolli and Severino Marchetti of ISE. The two engineers are among the first 50 maintenance experts in Italy to have received this important professional recognition, that is in progress to obtain the Sincert accreditation.

LORD Corporation and ISE will attend the international conference
and exhibition "Cemtech 2006" with an institutional stand (stand N°29). The
meeting will be held by International Cement Review on 17-20 September
at Cavalieri Hilton Hotel in Rome . ISE staff will take advantage
of this opportunity to present a paper on predictive maintenance
techniques in cement industry. On Thursday 19 th ISE will also
illustrate a case history of Real Time Balancing systems during
the presentation "Improved maintenance techniques confirm operational
gains" - David Pepper, Lafarge Cement , Scotland .

ISE will attend the "TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITIONS
WEEK - BIAS 2006" . ISE invites the visitors to meet
its staff and the new products on 20-23 September at Fiera Milano's
new complex PAD 11 stand S55. The exposition will feature instrumentations such
as the last DLI Engineering analysers, FLIR Systems infrared cameras,
CTRL Corporation ultrasonic meters and a model of LORD Corporation

ISE will take part to the study day/conference "Control
Systems and Processes Performance Monitoring", which will be held by ANIPLA
(Associazione Nazionale Italiana per l'Automazione) on September
19th at Auditorium EniTecnologie, via Maritano 26, San Donato
Milanese. The presentation will concern off-line monitoring systems
and methodologies for vibration analysis. This demonstration will
illustrate how ISE implemented a predictive maintenance project
using vibration analysis in a highly-automatised brick making
plant.

ISE attends the convention "Production and maintenance in electrical power plant" at
the International Institute of Research, with a presentation on condition monitoring
and holds a post-convention workshop "Setting up an efficient predictive maintenance
program for power plant". The convention, organised by the International Institute
of Research, was held on 22nd and 23rd February 2006 at the Star Hotel Business
Palace in Milan . Businesses of major importance such as Edison, Edipower, Aceaelectrabel
and others also participate in the event.

ISE staff collaborate in "Diagnostics of Rotating Elements",
formed by the technical commission UNI "Maintenance" and "Vibration". The objective of the working group is to establish a norm for
the diagnostics of rotating elements by means of vibrations, interfacing
also with the work of the sub-committee ISO/TC 108/SC 5 "Condition
monitoring and diagnostics of machines". Among the documents under
review are the standards ISO 7919 Mechanical Vibration - Evaluation
of machine vibration by measurements on rotating shafts and ISO
10816-1:1995 Mechanical vibration - Evaluation of machine vibration
by measurements on non-rotating parts. The working group consists
of representatives from the world of maintenance, diagnostics
and vibration analysis. For more information on the activities

Academy , presents the training module: "Instruments for predictive maintenance
and sub-condition", as part of the Masters Degree in Maintenance
Management. The masters, organised by the Festo Academy in collaboration
with AIMAN consists of six taught modules for a total of twenty-four
day's training on the management of maintenance.

of electrical energy producing plant". The workshop takes
place at the end of the conference "Efficient management
and maintenance of electric Power Stations" - International
Institute of Research: 23-24 February 2005. Present at the event

companies of major importance in the field, such as Electrabel
Italia, Aem Milano, Alstom, Ansa etc.

ISE takes part in the Forum
of Maintenance Managers 2004 organised by the IRI - the International Research
Institute , on 1st and 2nd December 2004, in Milan at the Starhotel
Tourist. The sixth session of the Forum was attended by Maintenance
Managers from the most prestigious national and international
companies. This event represented an important opportunity for
keeping up-to-date with new developments and as a meeting place
for all those in the sector. ISE contributed with a presentation
on predictive maintenance and industrial diagnostics.

ISE
takes part in the B.I.M.A.N. (the first biennial exhibition
on Industrial Maintenance) 14 - 17 September, Milan
Fair. The new Industrial Maintenance Show organised by The Blas
Group and organised in collaboration with Aiman ( The Italian
Maintenance Association ), took place alongside 31 Bias, the
International Trade Fair of industrial automation, instrumentation,
microelectronics and Ict. With regard to new strategies of growth,
ISE were pleased to participate in the event with their own
stand.
